We are excited about our up and coming reunion event which will be held on Friday, July 30th & Saturday, July 31st, 2010 (a two-day event). A committee of six of your former classmates, which includes (in clockwise order) Sabrina Porter Perez, Carole Richards Branch, Carlette Sheffield Merrill, myself - Tracy Fludd Laramore, Anthony Burrows and Lana Christian who have been working extremely hard on your behalf to make this event a success.
It all started in the fall of 1994. Many of us kept in touch and thought it would be great to have a 10th year reunion. During the planning of this endeavor, we realized that what we shared during our Walton High School years was very special. We were more than just classmates; we were students who remained connected because our experiences at Walton were so unique and special. We were on a quest to keep our memories alive.
The 10th year reunion was a huge success. Many came out to relive those high school days, if only for one night. We laughed, and cried (when remembering those who were no longer with us). It made us taste mortality and realize everyday is a gift. And oh how we danced the night away. We danced, danced, danced!
Fast forward to 2009. Almost fifteen years later, that same spark we all found fifteen years ago still smoldered. All six original committee members back again to make this Silver Reunion (25 years) happen once again. We quickly got reacquainted and went right back to work, dreaming of a bigger and better reunion to come.
You see what brings us together is a belief that we all share. This belief comes from great times that only high school can bring. The belief is that high school is supposed to be some of the best times in your life. During a time when teenagers are struggling with identity and the future can seem gloom; there can be the best of times in what may often feel like the worst of times. If you were at Walton during these times, you knew for sure that we had some great times.
Come with us as we rekindle some of those moments with friends from long ago. All committee members want to make this an awesome experience. Will you be a part of it?

Note: All monies received for the reunion are allocated towards expenses for the reunion. The committee volunteers their time planning the reunion and maintaining the website and do not receive any money for their time.
